Word from the General Director
On behalf of me and my colleagues, I would like to welcome you to the web portal of the Regional Center for Educational Planning (RCEP).
RCEP is an educational institution established in accordance with the agreement signed by the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the International Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) in 2003. In the context of this agreement, RCEP is entrusted to build national and regional capacities in the field of educational planning, policies, leadership and dissemination of related knowledge. The Center works in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), which aims to develop, educate, empower every human being and prepare them for life. These goals can only be attained through planning and sustainable actions.
RCEP receives financial and logistical support from the UAE government. Through a generous endowment by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, RCEP’s premises were constructed in the heart of the University City of Sharjah. Sharjah earned the title of Cultural Capital of the Arab World from UNESCO in 1998 and recently was selected as the World Book Capital in 2019. In that context, RCEP has the privilege to access outstanding educational facilities and academic institutions, adding to its attractiveness as a leading training center.
