Dr Muhadditha AlHashimi is the Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority. Prior to her appointment, Dr AlHashimi held several senior positions in higher education and healthcare institutions. She was the Campus Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) Sharjah Women & Men campuses, the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, HCT and the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs at the HCT.
Dr AlHashimi was the Chief Executive Officer of the Mohammed Bin Rashid AlMaktoum Academic Medical Center in Dubai, the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Healthcare City and the Director of Education at the Harvard Medical School Dubai Center.
Dr AlHashimi is a member of several boards and councils nationally and internationally. She is an independent non-executive director of MediClinic International, a member of the board of trustees and the Audit and Compliance Committee of the University of Sharjah, and a member of the board of trustees of the UAE Nursing and Midwifery Council and the UAE Genetics Diseases Association.
Dr AlHashimi obtained a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Texas; a Master’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from the University of Minnesota; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from the University of Minnesota, USA.
