Training: Technical and Academic Support to Schools based on needs
Duration: 2 Days 29-30 May 2013
General Objective: Proposal of a technical and academic model based on needs to be extended to schools through the literature of educational supervision, learning Psychology and planning skills as well as the participants understanding of the model to contribute intellectually towards education in depth.
Expected Educational Outcomes:
The participants are expected after completing this training program to:
• Understand the core concepts set by this topic or issue e.g. individual differences, real needs, job description and roles, technical and academic model, system & institutional needs.
• Appreciation of the technical and academic support model and its adoption.
• The continued balance between the individual’s roles and his/her role within the group and in the institution in a coherent and integral balance in all successful works.
• Practical contribution through workshop, dialogues in elaborating the work plans.

1. The concept of individual differences at the institutional level.
2. The concept of needs:
3. Individual needs, institutional needs (School), Government and educational system needs
4. The role of the school staff job description and its relation to need diagnosis.

Target Group: Educational supervisors, school principals and assistant principals MOE supervisor planners.
