Knowledge Dissemination: The Best Practices in Planning Successful Experinces in Integration Students with Special Education Needs: "Integration is right not Grant" Duration: 1 day 19 Sep 2013 General Objective: To present the educational practices in improving the process of integrating the students with special needs in public/General Education. • The improvement of pre-and in-service training of the teachers to cope with their roles in the integration of the students with special needs in schools. • Presentation of the best practices, strategies and the use of new alternatives in teaching, for the school principals, teachers and staff to improve the integration process. • Presentation of the best and successful experiences and practices worldwide. Content: Axis One: Strategies necessary to develop the teachers in the school where integration of students with special education is practiced. • Development of the teacher’s preparation or initial programs i.e. pre-service. • The development of teaching and learning strategies as well as the school learning environment. Axis Two: Pilot experiences and models in integrating students with special needs. • The American experience. • The Australian experience. ​Target Group: School principals, Teachers in the integration schools. ​
